Step 1: Start with the rims
Rims are often the dirtiest, covered in brake dust and road grime. First, use the rim cleaner and let it work for a moment, but don't let it dry. Then, clean the rims with a separate brush or sponge.
Tip: Use a separate bucket or cloth for the rims to prevent brake dust and sand from getting on your paint.
Step 2: Rinse the car thoroughly
Before you start with shampoo and wax, it's important to thoroughly rinse the car with water. This removes coarse dirt like sand, mud, and dust. This reduces the risk of scratching the paintwork, as the large particles are already rinsed off.
Tip: Use a garden hose or a bucket of clean water and work from top to bottom.
Step 3: Fill the wash bucket with grit guard and shampoo wax
The wash bucket in the Deluxe Bundle includes a grit guard . Fill it with water and shampoo wax . The grit guard keeps dirt at the bottom of the bucket, preventing it from transferring back into your wash mitt . This reduces the chance of swirl marks during washing.
Tip: For added safety, you can add a second bucket for clean rinsing water and use the two-bucket method .
Step 4: Wash the car with the wash mitt
Use the wash mitt to wash the car in sections, from top to bottom. Rinse the mitt regularly in the rinse bucket (or a separate bucket) to remove any dirt before returning it to the soapy water.
Tip: Work slowly and systematically per panel and avoid cleaning the same spot multiple times with a glove that is already dirty.
Step 5: Rinse the car thoroughly
After washing your car, rinse it thoroughly with clean water, again from top to bottom. This removes all shampoo wax and loose dirt, leaving your paint clean and streak-free.
Step 6: Dry the car with the drying cloth
Use the included drying cloth to gently pat the car dry or wipe it gently over the paint. Start at the top and work your way down. A thick, high-GSM microfiber cloth absorbs water well and protects the paint from scratches.
Tip: Fold the cloth regularly to use a clean surface and avoid getting it too wet.
